A benchmark among French museums, the Musée d'arts de Nantes is one of the few fine arts museums to have continually enriched its collections with works by living artists.
Today, it offers a genuine journey through the history of art, with over 900 works (paintings, sculptures, photographs, videos and installations) ranging from ancient to contemporary art.
The museum is home to many internationally renowned masterpieces, including works by Le Pérugin, La Tour, Ingres, Delacroix, Courbet, Monet, Picasso, Kandinsky, Soulages and Kapoor.
