Close to the nature reserve "Lilleau des Niges", the Maison du Fier enables you to discover Île de Ré through a mosaic of natural surroundings, dive into the ocean with gannets, be charmed by the scents of the dunes, lose yourself in the forest of pine trees and evergreen oaks… You will be surprised!
Young and not so young will enjoy exploring the village, marshlands, foreshore, dune and forest and see some of the animals that live in these areas. Whether hidden under a rock, hanging in the air or kept in an aquarium, all this animal and vegetal world is awaiting you.
And to complete this recreational yet educational route, discover the Nature Reserve by following footpaths along which scenic observation points and interpretation boards have been installed. Open your eyes and observe the animals and plants that you have previously discovered in the museum in their natural habitat.

From 05/04 to 30/06 : Daily (except Saturday & Sunday morning) 10am - 12.30pm and 2.30 - 6pm
From 01/07 to 31/08 : Daily (except Saturday morning) 10am - 12.30pm and 2.30 - 6.30pm
From 01/09 to 28/09 : Daily (except Saturday morning) 10am - 12.30pm and 2.30 - 6pm
From 18/10 to 02/11 : Daily (except Saturday morning) 10am - 12.30pm and 2.30 - 6pm
Visit site located on the loop 3 - North. You will find all the equipment and services to welcome cyclists: bike repair kit, possibility to charge your bike battery or GPS, bike parking in front of the museum etc.
