Fessenheim is one of five sites in eastern France on the "Slavery and Human Rights Abolition Route", part of the vast international "Slave Route" project supported by the UN (www.abolitions.org). The Victor Sch?lcher museum is housed in a medieval house dating back to the 16th century.
A visit here will enable you to discover the life of an extraordinary man, best known for his fight against slavery.

From the outset, thanks to an elaborate scenography, you'll travel with Victor Sch?lcher from the outdoor totem poles to the tactile digital displays inside.
Let yourself be guided on a tour featuring over 150 visuals, original works (books, manuscripts, newspapers), period objects and porcelain signed by his father Marc, a native of Fessenheim.
