La Maison du Contremaître

In the heart of the property, a fully renovated self-contained gîte accessed either via an outside staircase or from the rear of the gîte via a natural ramp with no stairs: large living room (possibility of sleeping 2 extra people in the sofa bed), kitchen opening onto a large room with open fireplace, separate wc, Saracen vaulted staircase leading to the first floor where there are 2 bedrooms and a shower room (large Italian-style shower) and 2nd wc.
There is one bedroom with a 160x200 bed overlooking the Canal du Nivernais, which can be accessed via an outside staircase with a small balcony. The 2nd bedroom has 2 twin 90x190 beds. 2 vaulted cellars accessible either from the outside or from the inside of the main room via a motorised glass hatch: 1 cellar with washing machine, additional fridge with freezer, bread oven and stone fireplace with open hearth, another cellar that can be used for meals or tastings and storage for household items. A terrace with garden furniture and parasol, barbecue and lighting is located at the rear of the house, with no overlooked neighbours, and another terrace with garden furniture in front of the house. The access ramps lead to the 2,000 m² of landscaped, unfenced garden, from which you have an uninterrupted view of the Canal du Nivernais and the rooftops of the village. At the bottom of the garden is a large, protected well, where you will find an orientation table overlooking the foothills of the Morvan. 2 private, protected parking spaces. It is also possible to sleep an additional 2 people in an atypical mini gîte annex with kitchen area, lounge, 160x200 bed on the mezzanine and shower room, 2 terraces - please contact the owner directly for details. Enjoy our heated outdoor infinity pool, with panoramic views over the Canal du Nivernais, the roofs of Chevroches and the foothills of the Morvan. Relax in an idyllic setting, surrounded by beautiful vegetation and relaxing peace and quiet. Closes at 8pm. Swimming pool shared by guests of the 2 gîtes and the chambres d'hôtes. Size 12x5m - depth 0.80m to 1.80m. Open from 1 May to 30 September, weather permitting.

- INFORMATION: We are currently carrying out works around the swimming pool. The work may cause some noise. Our dogs are free on the estate.
