Perched at an altitude of 1,107 meters, on the heights of Gaschney and nestled against the slope of the Petit Hohneck, The Schallern is a hotel and restaurant accessible only on foot, after about a 15-minute walk from the Gaschney parking lot.

Upon arrival, you’ll be rewarded with a panoramic terrace overlooking the Munster Valley, the Alsace Plain, and—on clear days—all the way to the Swiss Alps.

When it comes to food, Le Schallern offers home-style, mountain-inspired, and seasonal cuisine—all homemade and drawing inspiration from the Munster Valley region. Local ingredients, hearty dishes, and comforting flavors await—to be enjoyed on the terrace on sunny days or in the restaurant’s warm and welcoming atmosphere.
