Ornithological park of Pont de Gau
The Pont de Gau Ornithological Park manages its natural areas with a constant focus on habitat conservation, nature protection, and public awareness. Since 1974, it has also housed a wildlife care center. Through informative panels, identification sheets, and migration maps, the park offers visitors, both experts and amateurs, a clear and enriching understanding of the life of birds, the emblematic inhabitants of the Camargue.
On one hectare, large aviaries host species that are difficult to observe in their natural environment, each placed in a faithfully recreated biotope. Kilometers of trails wind through marshes and reed beds, providing unique observation points and special moments for attentive visitors. In the heart of the Ginès marsh, where a herd of bulls grazes in the high season, an observation hide allows for discreet wildlife viewing, respecting their privacy. The park covers a total area of 60 hectares.
