The estate has around twenty hectares of organic vines, planted with Cabernet Franc, Pineau d'Aunis and Chenin grapes, and produces Saumur Blanc and Saumur Champigny appellation wines, as well as natural sparkling wines and sulphite-free wines. The vines are cultivated with respect for biodiversity, and the wines produced are of a quality that reflects the region's magnificent terroirs. The tuffeau, a limestone dating back 90 million years, gives the wines a remarkable specificity. The Chenin-based white wines evoke great freshness, while the light, fruity red wines express all the elegance of the Saumur region.
To protect the environment, the estate uses eco-pasture to maintain the vines, and agro-forestry by planting apple trees in certain plots.
You can visit the winery on your own, thanks to a booklet that guides you step by step and at your own pace. You'll learn about the history of the estate, the work of the winemaker, our barrels and the amphorae. You can also admire the troglodytic cellar and its 12th-century dwelling. This heritage treasure, forgotten for generations, was rediscovered only ten years ago. A bread oven and other traces of everyday life have been discovered there, and have remained exceptionally intact.
In a friendly, family atmosphere, a guided tasting session and a wine sale are offered at the end of each visit. Free admission.
