La Sittelle

Beschrijving

"Les Dorats", a hamlet in the commune of Bellafaire (on the border between Alpes-de-Haute-Provence and Hautes-Alpes), is located on the Col des Garcinets at an altitude of 1050 m.
The gîte is surrounded by working farms, but faces due south towards the meadows and Bois-Noirs.
In Turriers (4 km), you'll find a grocery - butcher - delicatessen (excellent!), bakery, tobacconist, post office and restaurants.
The nearby Durance valley is known as the fruit and wine route, and well deserves it.
If you've had enough of the car, the immediate surroundings offer a wide variety of walks: the Bois-noirs (the PR passes in front of the gîte), the crête des Mélèzes...
Swimming is pleasant at both the Rochebrune lakes (11 km) and Serre-Ponçon (20 km).
Workshop available for supervised repairs. Electric-assist mountain bikes can be hired on site.
