The Loir Valley Tourist Office has four visitor centres spread across the valley: La Flèche and La Chartre-sur-le-Loir are open all year round, whilst Le Lude and Château-du-Loir are open from April to the end of September. During the two summer months, a mobile visitor advisor is on hand at events and in the villages of the Loir Valley. The services on offer include: reception, tourist information, holiday advice, ticket sales, fishing licence sales, events, hire of standard and electric bikes, development and promotion, not to mention the shop with its wide selection of local produce and range of gifts featuring the colours of the Loir Valley.
The reception area at the Loir Valley Tourist Office in La Chartre-sur-le-Loir, known as ‘LA MAISON, Voyages & Vignes’, is home to a unique space dedicated to the wines of the Loir Valley!
This venue invites you to discover the vineyards and their history, and offers you the chance to enjoy unique tourist and tasting experiences centred on the two AOCs: Coteaux du Loir (1948) and Jasnières (1937).
Its self-service wine-by-the-glass dispenser allows you to sample up to 6 wines from a selection of 72, sourced from around twenty estates eager to welcome you (€5 for 3 wines or €8 for 6).
