The marshes of the Vigueirat
At the Marais du Vigueirat, you'll find over 3,500 animal and plant species, 300 species of birds and 5 herds of bulls and horses, so typical of the Camargue. On your own on the Etourneau trails, with a guide on horseback, in a horse-drawn carriage or on foot, visitors will take their time to discover the flora and fauna. A naturalist guide will take you by electric minibus to the heart of the nature reserve, where you can observe the birds with a spyglass from various observatories.
A digital application and printed interpretation booklets are available free of charge, providing further information on the site's natural environments and points of interest. Themed outings are offered throughout the year.
The site is well advanced in its responsibility to the planet, and highlights its efforts in terms of water, air and energy in a message of protection for man and nature.
A WWF France partner site, the Marais du Vigueirat is a benchmark for sustainable tourism and eco-responsibility.
Pets, with the exception of guide dogs, are not allowed on the site, but kennels are available.
The site is accessible by bike from Arles on the ViaRhôna, but none of the discovery trails are accessible by bike (due to the presence of wild herds).
Access conditions :
Les Marais du Vigueirat has 2 parking spaces reserved for the disabled and a drop-off point in front of the reception area. The picnic areas, store and part of the Etourneau trails are accessible to people with reduced mobility.
Guide dogs accepted
