If you're feeling curious, head to Assat and discover the Conservatoire des Légumes Anciens du Béarn (CLAB), an orchard-garden containing over 500 species of plants.
Let the colours of the plants guide you along the garden's paths, which are dotted with explanatory panels, interpretation tables and audio terminals. You'll find little-known, ancient or forgotten vegetables from every continent in the world, as well as dyeing plants (used to give colour), aromatic plants and medicinal plants. In the orchard, wander among the hundred or so fruit trees, with 45 different species of apple trees.
