O'Chambon offers a wide range of stopovers and stays to suit all tastes:

- This friendly, well-appointed gîte features 2 bedrooms, each with 3 single beds, a large shared bathroom and a small lounge with a library, board games, maps and hiking guides.

- Le Dôme cocooning: a charming canvas-and-wood cocooning dome for a night "almost under the stars", with 2 single beds or a queen-size bed, portable lamp provided, sanitary facilities in the adjacent building and private terrace overlooking the Dent du Marais cliff.

- The magnificent Cabane Le Nid Du Lac, overlooking the lake and facing the Massif du Sancy: superb fittings made entirely of wood and noble materials. You'll have a queen-size bed on the ground floor and 2 single beds (or double bed) on the mezzanine with a breathtaking view, 2 bathrooms/wc, mezzanine with overhanging nets. Herbal tea room with kettle, Nespresso and fridge - Private wooden terrace.

- The mysterious Troglodyte room, nestled between rock and wood, with a queen-size bed and an overhanging single bed - small lounge with herbal tea room (dolce gusto coffee maker) - bathroom/wc - private wooden terrace.

You'll be delighted to discover newly-created or refurbished accommodation, decorated to a high standard. The communal table will be laid with simple, homemade dishes and seasonal produce, particularly suited to the sporting public on a stopover.

The ideal place to stay to take full advantage of the attractions of Lac Chambon, at the foot of the Massif du Sancy; direct access to the lake, numerous activities, equipped beaches, children's play area and paddling pool with free access.

Hiking, cycling, mountain biking, fishing, mountains, ski resorts of Le Mont-Dore and Super-Besse 15kms away, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, dog sledding. Medieval village of Besse, Château de Murol, numerous basilicas and small local heritage sites. Farm visits and Saint Nectaire cheese-making.

The region is magnificent, with the Chaîne des Puys listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the lake a special place to visit!
