Villa Velleron
It is located in the centre of Velleron, a typical and intact Provençal village directly on the "VIA VENAISSIA Velo Route" (V 861) and is the perfect starting point to explore the surroundings also but not only by bike.
Our beautiful village house in the remains of an old olive oil mill from the 17th century is an insider tip.
Enjoy the relaxed atmosphere in the garden, the pool with crystal clear water, the deck chairs and the terrace as well as the individual design of your room and our "Acceuil Vélo" (member since 2022) compliant service. We have professional partners in our neighbourhood for bike rental and repair. Bicycles can be stored in our secure garage.
If there are enough participants and on advance reservation, we also offer Table d'Hôtes based on fresh products from the unique "Marché agricole de Velleron" about 5 min. walk from Villa Velleron.
Whether racing bike, touring bike, mountain bike or electric bike: the nearer and further surroundings offer many possibilities, e.g.:
Velleron is located directly on the "VIA VENAISSIA" cycle route (V 861). This route leads through the Comtat Venaissin and connects the "ViaRhôna" (EV17) with the "Méditerranée" (EV8) via Orange, Carpentras, Pernes-les-Fontaines, Velleron, Isle sur la Sorgues and Robion in the Luberon. This cycle route, built on the route of the old Comtat Venaissin railway line, consists of a 14 km greenway between the old Jonquières railway station and Carpentras, and continues on a currently temporary track. The route is ideal for enjoying magnificent views of the vineyards, Mont Ventoux, villages, etc.
The "Voie Verte" No. 11 with a route to Pernes-les-Fontaines and another to Isle-sur-la-Sorgue starts near the Villa Velleron in the village of Velleron, known for the "Marché Agricole de Velleron". The ride runs partly along the Canal de Carpentras, a historic structure used to irrigate cultivated land.
The region offers various mountain bike routes, including from Saumane-de-Vaucluse, Fontaine-de-Vaucluse or Pernes-Les-Fontaines, or various routes directly in the hills near Velleron.
The ultimate challenge for every racing cyclist, Mont Ventoux, is not in the immediate vicinity of Velleron, but two of the three starting points, Bédoin and Malaucène, are easily accessible by car in 30 to 40 minutes.
